A meatless marinara sauce loaded with flavor!
Instructions
Heat oil over medium high heat in a large pot (when a wooden spoon sizzles when held on the bottom of the pot - the oil is ready). Add onions, celery and carrots, cook for 5-8 minutes until softened, add garlic and cook another 2 minutes stirring so garlic doesn't burn. Add the crushed tomatoes and seasonings, stir to combine. Lower heat to low and cook for 2 hours, stirring often. When cooked, remove the bay leaves before serving over your favorite pasta. Season as needed to taste.
