I never left Camden Park without having one of these! A cornmeal coated wiener deep fried and served covered in yellow mustard!
Instructions
Heat oil in large pot to 375°F.
Mix all ingredients (except wieners) in a deep bowl.
Place sticks or skewers in wieners, leaving a stem to hold on to.
Dip wiener into batter and fry in the heated oil for 3-5 minutes. Turn with tongs. Drain on paper towels. Very important to maintain oil temperature, I use a thermometer to insure that the oil maintains at 375°F.
Serve immediately with yellow mustard and / or ketchup.
