Amish Style Peanut Butter Pie

My mother made this pie, actually several of them for every holiday! Was the most favorite dessert at her house!

Ingredients

• 1 9" pie crust bake according to package instructions
• 2 cups whole milk
• 1 4 oz package instant vanilla pudding prepared according to package direction for pie
• 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
• 1 cup powdered or confectioner's sugar
• 1 tube cool whip

Instructions

1. Mix together the peanut butter and powdered sugar until crumbly. Reserve 2 tablespoons to decorate the top of the finished pie.
2. Prepare pie crust and pudding per packaging instructions.
3. Assembling the pie: Place 1/2 of peanut butter crumbs on bottom of crust. Add the pudding on top of the crumbs. Then add the remaining crumbs on top of the pudding.
4. Cover the pudding / crumb layers with Cool Whip and sprinkle reserved crumbs on top of Cool Whip.
